Narayan Sarovar & Koteshwar

Narayan Sarovar, meaning Lake of Narayan (Vishnu), is one of the five holy lakes (Panch-Sarovars) of Hinduism. Located in the westernmost part of Kutch, this sacred site is home to several ancient temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu and other deities. Pilgrims from across India visit here to take a holy dip and seek blessings. A short drive away lies Koteshwar Temple, perched dramatically on the edge of the Arabian Sea. According to legend, Lord Shiva manifested here as Koteshwar Mahadev. The temple is not only a place of devotion but also offers spectacular sunset views where the sea seems endless, meeting the horizon in serenity. Together, Narayan Sarovar and Koteshwar form a blend of spirituality, mythology, and natural beauty, making them among the most revered and scenic destinations in Kutch.
